Video of Tan Jianci Being Thrown Off Horse During Filming Exposed; Crew Has 3 Incidents in a Month

On the 29th, while filming a battle scene on horseback for the Chinese drama "He Bu Tong Zhou Du," Tan Jianci was thrown off his horse. The horse, frightened and out of control, kept spinning in circles. Tan immediately threw down the long spear prop in his hand, grabbed the reins tightly with both hands trying to control the horse and slow it down, but the horse was too startled. In the end, Tan was thrown from the horse. However, he skillfully slid down the horse's back rather than being violently flung off, and used a side roll to reduce the impact. After hitting the ground, he stood up immediately to avoid being trampled by other horses. Several crew members rushed over to help upon seeing the incident. Fortunately, Tan was not seriously injured, and after a short rest, he continued filming.

Spectating fans felt indignant for him, pointing out that before the scene started, Tan Jianci and several extras were waiting on horseback, and his horse already seemed startled by the noise on set and kept lifting its head, about to bolt. Tan managed to control it with the reins and pulled it back to its original position to wait. But the horse quieted down for just a bit before being startled again. Extras nearby also tried to help by holding the reins and calming the horse, but the production crew did not take any action to address the situation and allowed him to continue riding the same horse, eventually resulting in Tan being thrown off during filming.

Fans also noted this was already the third accident in a month for the crew, including a drawn-and-quartered scene with no safety measures and a rain scene where Tan was pulled by wind and fell. They called on the production team to implement proper safety plans and step up inspections to ensure the safety of the actors.

After news of the horse accident spread, Tan Jianci posted reassuring everyone: "What just happened was purely an accident, caused by no one. The on-site medical staff have already checked me and I am fine. Please don't spread any false information. I will take good care of myself and ask everyone not to worry."
