The mayor of Mexico City, Brugada, said on the night of the 10th that a liquefied petroleum gas tanker truck explosion occurred in the eastern part of the city earlier that day, resulting in 3 deaths and 70 injuries.
Brugada posted on social media that a tanker truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas overturned near the La Concordia Bridge, then exploded and caused a fire. The shockwave and the fire caused by the explosion resulted in at least 3 deaths and 70 injuries.
The explosion also damaged several vehicles.
The Mexico City government indicated that the injured have been taken to hospitals for treatment, and the specific cause of the accident is still under investigation.
