Police discovered a white Mitsubishi Lancer behaving suspiciously, heading towards Kampong Labu. When the police attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver did not comply and attempted to flee.
Subsequently, a chase ensued on the Temburong Bridge, and the vehicle eventually veered off the road at Kampong Mentiri. The driver tried to escape into a residential area, but police successfully apprehended the suspect.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, police found several plastic bags containing 759 cartons of cigarettes and several bottles of vape liquid. The 36-year-old local male suspect is currently being detained by the police, and the confiscated items have been handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department (JKED) for further investigation.
