On the 5th, US magazine Poltico reported that the US is not adequately prepared for a broader military operation against Iran, and is currently adding personnel and other resources to support the war for at least 100 days, or even until September.

The report, citing a notification obtained by the magazine, stated that US Central Command is urging the Pentagon to dispatch more military intelligence personnel to its headquarters in Tampa, Florida, to support US military operations against Iran for at least 100 days or even until September.

According to the report, this is the first known time the Trump administration has requested additional intelligence personnel for war against Iran... This military operation may far exceed the four weeks initially expected by President Trump.

It was also reported the US military is transporting more air defense systems to the Middle East, especially the small, low-cost anti-drone systems developed in recent years.

The report says that Iran's low-cost drones are of particular concern to the US military, as they often fly below radar detection altitudes. “At least for now, the US is using missiles valued at millions of dollars to shoot down these drones, which cost only a fraction of the price of the missiles.”

Military Operations Against Iran Entering the Next Phase

On the evening of the 5th, Israeli Defense Forces Chief of Staff Zamir issued a statement saying that the Israeli military's operations against Iran have lasted six days, and the operation is entering the next phase, with plans to further intensify strikes against the Iranian regime’s foundations and military capabilities.

He stated that the Israeli Air Force has dropped over 6,000 rounds of munitions in strikes against Iran, destroying approximately 80% of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's air defense systems and over 60% of its ballistic missile launchers.
