Malaysian actor Dai Zu Xiong and Ukrainian actress Janna, after getting married, welcomed their daughter “Nei Nei” last year, and announced in late April this year that they are expecting their second child. Zu Xiong and Janna recently appeared on the show “11 o’clock Hot Quarrel Shop” and revealed that their marital crisis lies in the fact that “their money philosophies are very different.” Zu Xiong said all the household expenses are managed by him, and he was left speechless when he suddenly received an electricity bill for 16,000 (about 2,309 ringgit), exclaiming, “It’s outrageous! 16,000—how many diapers and formula do I have to save to cover that? So I asked Janna why, since she’s home more often than I am, and she said because it’s hot at home so she turns on the air conditioning.”
In response, Janna asked back, “It’s really too hot, what should I do? Don’t you turn on the air conditioner? Plus, we have kids.” Zu Xiong admitted that he even searched online for ways to save on air conditioning costs, but his wife had no interest in trying, “She has absolutely no sense of numbers.” However, Janna argued back, thinking Zu Xiong’s ways of saving money are too extreme. For example, when buying diapers, if she saw a brand that advertised being less likely to cause irritation to the baby’s skin, she would buy it even if it cost 15 units per piece. Zu Xiong, on the other hand, insists on buying the ones that cost 5 units each.
