A horrifying murder recently occurred in Damoh village, Madhya Pradesh, India. A man with a prior conviction for murder brutally killed a 16-year-old boy in broad daylight with an iron hammer. What shocked the public most was that, after the attack, the perpetrator ate the victim's tissue and drank his blood on the spot. Police investigations revealed that the accused had only been released from prison two years ago after serving a sentence for killing his wife.
According to The Times of India, at the time of the incident, the 16-year-old boy, Bharat, was heading to a neighboring village with his cousin Vijay to celebrate the local traditional festival "Raksha Bandhan" with his sister. On the way, they encountered a fellow villager, Patel, who suddenly lashed out, pulling out an iron hammer and attacking both of them frantically.
Bharat suffered repeated blows to the head and died on the spot. Vijay managed to escape and seek help from the villagers, but he witnessed a terrifying scene: after killing Bharat, Patel publicly dug out and ate part of the victim's brain tissue and even drank his blood.

The villagers and police rushed to the scene and found Patel, still holding the iron hammer, in a field. Facing a crowd trying to apprehend him, Patel attempted to resist and attack again, but was eventually subdued through a joint effort.
Further police investigation revealed that Patel was a dangerous repeat offender. About 20 years ago, he was convicted for murdering his wife and imprisoned for 20 years, only being released two years ago. Unexpectedly, within just two years of release, he claimed the life of an innocent teenager in an even more brutal manner.
The victim's body has been sent to the hospital for autopsy, and Patel has been formally arrested on charges of murder. Police are conducting strict interrogations to clarify the motive behind this heinous crime and to assess the perpetrator's mental state.
