The founder of the world's largest hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates, Dalio, is urging the United States to reach an agreement with China on tariff issues.
According to foreign media reports on the 9th, Dalio posted on the social platform X (formerly known as Twitter) suggesting that the next goal of President Trump's administration should be to reduce the U.S. deficit to 3% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Regarding the tariff decision made by Trump earlier in the day, Dalio said: 'Trump's decision to take a step back and abandon worse practices, instead opting to solve these imbalances through negotiation, is the better approach.'
On Wednesday, Trump said he would suspend the implementation of new tariffs for 90 days, while further increasing tariffs on Chinese goods to 125%.
