(Miri, 12th) Miri LuDong Junior Chamber International (JCI Lutong) delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Sarawak Area Convention, clinching a total of 19 awards and successfully ranking among the top three in overall scores. The delegation emerged as one of the most prominent teams of this year’s convention.
This year’s convention was held from May 8 to 10 in Bintulu, hosted by JCI Jalan Tanjung Kidurong, bringing together local JCI chapters from all over Sarawak. Young members participated through various competitions and evaluation platforms, showcasing leadership, communication skills, creativity, and community impact.
The LuDong JCI delegation, bearing the team spirit of “#TeamShine,” performed excellently in various competitions and evaluations, not only standing out in multiple categories but also demonstrating team collaboration and a spirit of continuous growth.
Among the most notable achievements were placing in the overall top three, Best Debater in the English Debate, Runner-up for Parliamentary Knowledge Quiz, and Champion for First-Time Participant.
In addition, the chapter’s “SHE Power: Women Entrepreneur Circle” women’s entrepreneurial empowerment project was honored with the “Outstanding Impact Project Award” and “Outstanding Women’s Empowerment Project Award,” while the team also received the “Outstanding Social Media Management Award.”
Apart from these honors, the team also won awards in speech, debate, project presentation, publication, and organizational performance, bringing the total to 19 awards.
LuDong JCI representatives expressed that the achievements are not just a testament to their awards but more importantly reflect members’ courage to challenge themselves, break through comfort zones, and grow together through teamwork.
