(Bandar Seri Begawan, 16th) A four-day mini fisheries carnival jointly organized by the Department of Fisheries of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and Muara International Fish Landing Complex Sdn Bhd kicked off yesterday at the Muara Fish Landing Centre.
The purpose of the carnival is to support fishery entrepreneurs in directly supplying high-quality food to consumers.
19 enterprises registered with the Fisheries Department, covering the fishing industry, aquaculture, and processing industries, participated in the sale of their respective products.
The carnival kicked off yesterday and is open daily from 8 am to 4 pm (Thursday to Sunday).
The event will conclude on May 18th (Sunday). The public is welcome to visit, support the mini carnival, and purchase a variety of fresh seafood such as fish, shrimp, and squid. Aquaculture entrepreneurs will offer high-quality farmed fish such as grouper and tilapia.
Additionally, entrepreneurs in the seafood processing industry will sell various seafood-based products, such as frozen fish products, value-added products, crispy snacks, shrimp paste, and salted fish.
