(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) In order to convey the latest information about current issues and government policies, while also listening to the opinions and feedback of residents, the Information Department under the Prime Minister's Office of Brunei, through the Tutong District Branch, recently held a dialogue session at a government primary school auditorium in Kampong Derisai in Tutong District, involving officials from the Information Department and the village chief and villagers of Kampong Derisai.
This dialogue session was led by the Deputy Director of the Information Department and Head of the Tutong District Branch, Izzah, along with relevant department officials participating in this session.
During the dialogue session, Izzah emphasized that the Ministry of Information serves as the government's mouthpiece, eyes, and ears, bearing the responsibility of conveying the latest information, government policies, and current affairs to the people nationwide through various channels, especially through dialogue sessions and the official newspaper 'Pelita Brunei'.
The participating residents also learned about the dangers of fake news and the ways to report related information. Additionally, representatives from government departments such as the Electricity Department, Water Department, Forestry Department, and Public Works Department also participated in the information sharing session, providing practical information to residents.
The dialogue session also specially arranged an interaction session with the Penghulu of Mukim Derisai, Hasilan, the village chief of Kampong Derisai, Sofheavy, and residents, discussing important topics such as infrastructure construction, public safety, and community welfare in the village.
