(Kuching, Jan 9) Special assistant to Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen, Kenneth Bong, visited the last 10 primary schools in the 《Satok Parliamentary Constituency Back-to-School Program》 today, delivering new schoolbags and stationery to over 300 students to welcome the upcoming new school year in March!

The 10 primary schools are Kuching Chung Hua Primary School No. 2, Sekolah Kebangsaan Stutong, SK Satria Jaya, Satok National-Type Chinese School, St. Alban Primary School, Satok Chung Hua Public School, Sam Hap Hin Primary School, 5 Mile 8 Port Primary School, Jalan Batu Taram Primary School, and Jalan Tong Shuai Primary School.

With today's completion of distributions, this four-day 《Back-to-School Program》 comes to a successful conclusion, benefiting approximately 1,200 students from B40 families across 36 primary schools in the Satok parliamentary constituency.

Satok MP Chong Chieng Jen stated that this 《Back-to-School Program》 is one of the annual activities of his service team, and this year marks the third implementation of this program.

Chong noted that with the continually rising cost of living, many families, especially within the B40 group, face significant economic pressure when purchasing new study supplies for their children during the school opening period. Therefore, his service center decided to launch this program to help provide necessary school supplies for the children of families in need, alleviating their financial burden while inspiring the children to work hard in their studies.

He hopes that these schoolbags and stationery can provide some help to the children and give the parents of these families a breather, so they don’t have to worry about purchasing study supplies for their children.

Most importantly, Chong hopes that such activities can inspire children to cherish their learning opportunities, bravely pursue their dreams, and not give up on their education due to financial constraints.

Chong expressed his contentment as both he and his team received unanimous praise from schools and teachers over the four days of distribution. They reported that this program has significantly helped the children from these families, relieving much of their economic stress during school openings.

He would like to thank the schools for their full cooperation, assisting the team in distribution tasks and ensuring the smooth implementation of the program.

Meanwhile, Chong also wants to thank his team for their hard work and dedication, visiting 36 primary schools over four days to ensure that every eligible student received the supplies.

Chong emphasized that education is the cornerstone of societal progress. He and his service center will continue to bring tangible assistance to students through similar programs.
