(Bintulu, 3rd) – A fire broke out in the kitchen of a food court at a shopping mall in Bintulu early this morning, but fortunately, the mall’s security guards managed to extinguish the fire in time, preventing it from spreading.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department’s report, authorities received an alert at 1:18 am and immediately dispatched firefighters from the Bintulu Fire Station to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that the source of the fire was a kitchen stove, and the blaze had already been put out by the mall’s security personnel using a fire extinguisher.
As the fire was already under control, the fire department did not carry out fire suppression operations but only conducted safety inspections and monitoring at the scene before returning to the fire station.
