Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: US Military Aid Has Resumed

Published at Jul 12, 2025 11:15 am
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tsikhi stated on the 11th that US military aid to Ukraine has resumed.

He told the media that Ukraine is grateful for the signals sent by the US side about continuing and possibly increasing defense support for Ukraine. Both Ukrainian and US teams are studying the technical details of delivering the military aid.

He said that next week, Ukraine and the US are planning to hold multilevel meetings.

On the 1st, the US Department of Defense and the White House had previously announced a suspension of some military aid to Ukraine. Multiple US media outlets reported that this decision stemmed from concerns over the excessive depletion of US military stockpiles. US President Trump subsequently stated on the 7th that the US would provide more weapons to Ukraine and, on the 8th, approved the shipment of additional defensive weapons to Ukraine.

In an interview with US media on the 10th, Trump said the US had reached an agreement with NATO to deliver weapons to Ukraine through NATO, and that NATO would pay the full cost of these weapons. He said he was "disappointed in Russia" and would make a "major statement" regarding Russia on the 14th.

In addition, according to Ukrainian media reports, US Special Envoy for Ukraine Affairs Kellogg is scheduled to arrive in Kyiv next Monday (the 14th) for a week-long visit.
