(Kuala Lumpur, 16th) Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Information Chief Dato' Seri Fahmi has suggested that returning party veterans be given a period of cooling-off to adapt and not be offered any positions.
Prime Minister and PKR President Dato' Seri Anwar, in his speech at the party's general assembly on Saturday, publicly invited former allies and veterans to return to PKR's struggle, and apologized for marginalizing them and for any mistakes that may have been made within the party.
When summing up at the PKR congress today, Fahmi mentioned this matter, saying: "Perhaps when we open our arms and welcome them back, we should first give them a cooling-off period and not offer them positions immediately."
In addition, Fahmi also stated that his team will change their publicity strategy to more effectively communicate the achievements of the government from 'pot economy' (periuk ekonomi) to 'stomach economy' (perut ekonomi) to society.
