(Kuching, 15th) Sarawak's Borneo Airlines (AirBorneo) is committed to providing affordable ticket prices to ensure that the people of the state enjoy low-cost services.
Sarawak Premier and PBB president Datuk Patinggi Dr. Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari stressed that affordable ticket prices remain a top priority for Borneo Airlines.
In his speech at the PBB delegate conference today, he said that they are indeed concerned about ticket prices, which should not be too expensive.
According to him, after Borneo Airlines purchases its first jet, it will first open routes to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Jakarta, then gradually expand to other international destinations.
Apart from the initial three destinations, the Sarawak Premier also revealed that the company plans to extend to the Hong Kong route first and then target flights to Japan.
“Previously, the Japanese ambassador asked us why we don’t fly to Japan. I said, anytime is possible, as long as the Japanese also come to Sarawak.”
This move is expected not only to increase the opportunity for the people of Sarawak to travel by plane at an affordable price but also to stimulate the growth of the state's tourism industry and economy.
Borneo Airlines (AirBorneo) is currently in the early planning stages and aims to be another airline service provider prioritizing public welfare with lower ticket prices.
