(Miri, 9th) A 67-year-old Chinese elderly man is suspected to have accidentally fallen into a drain. He was discovered by the public yesterday evening, after which they called the police. He was later retrieved by rescue personnel and confirmed to have no signs of life by medical personnel.
Lutong Fire and Rescue Station received a call for help from a police officer around 5 PM yesterday, reporting that a male body was found in the drainage in front of Tudan Emart.
According to sources, the deceased often walked in the area and had poor eyesight. There were no visible injuries on his body when discovered, and it is initially suspected that he accidentally fell into the drain. Currently, the police are conducting an in-depth investigation into the specific cause of the incident.
