Former Prime Minister Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri re-visited the Putrajaya Anti-Corruption Commission to give a statement on Friday (25th).
It is understood that his vehicle entered the headquarters of the Anti-Corruption Commission around 2:52 PM on Friday (April 25th).
This marks the ninth time he has visited the Anti-Corruption Commission to provide a statement. He also visited the commission on Thursday (24th) and stayed there for 7 hours.
The Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Tan Sri Azam Baki, stated earlier that this session is related to Ismail Sabri's asset declaration under Section 36(1) of the 2009 Anti-Corruption Commission Act.
The Bera Member of Parliament is alleged to have been involved in corruption and money laundering during his tenure as the ninth Prime Minister from August 2021 to November 2022, in connection with promotional contracts under the "Malaysian Family" initiative.
The Anti-Corruption Commission is conducting the investigation under the 2009 Anti-Corruption Commission Act as well as the 2001 Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.
