China's authorities have deployed nationwide inspections of safety risks, enforced the implementation of safety responsibility measures, and worked to prevent major and significant accidents.

According to a notice published on the website of China's Ministry of Emergency Management on the 7th, the Office of the State Council Work Safety Committee issued a notice requiring various regions, relevant departments, and central enterprises to take strong measures to implement safety prevention responsibilities and measures down to the grassroots and individual levels. This is to actively respond to the challenges that adverse weather poses to safety production work and to firmly avoid production safety accidents caused by inadequate prevention.

The notice specifically requires further strengthening of safety prevention in the transportation sector, with a strict crackdown on various traffic violations such as the 'three overs and fatigue': speeding, overloading, overcapacity, and fatigued driving, as well as illegal passenger carrying and unauthorized operations, to resolutely prevent vehicles and ships from taking risks in transit, and flights from taking off and landing unsafely. Transport enterprises are urged to conduct strict inspections of the technical performance and operational status of various transportation tools to prevent accidents.
