Jacky Wu Suddenly Mentions Former Love Chen Hsiao-Hsuan, Reveals Inside Story of Their Relationship 26 Years Ago: 'She Was Married'

Variety King Jacky Wu was recently accused on the 23rd of having previously criticized Barbie Hsu ('Big S') and Dee Hsu ('Little S') for having no manners during a public livestream. Angered by these claims, Wu went online himself to clarify, saying he was actually scolding Kevin Huang (Huang Tzu-chiao), and also explained that there was no rift between his daughter Sandy and Little S. Unexpectedly, he rarely brought up former love Chen Hsiao-Hsuan, stating he could not accept dating her while she was married.

During a livestream yesterday addressing recent media controversies, some viewers in the comments brought up Chen Hsiao-Hsuan, seemingly in connection to the S family. This made Wu adopt a serious demeanor as he gently said, "They were all hanging out together at the time. I can't accept... this woman was married when she dated me! That's all." He then declined further comment. His remarks immediately sparked heated discussion among netizens.

According to reports, Jacky Wu and Chen Hsiao-Hsuan were swept up in a widely publicized affair around 1998 or 1999, shocking the entire entertainment industry. After breaking up, Chen Hsiao-Hsuan later married producer Sam Tseng (Chan Ren-Hsiung), and also became close friends with Big S and Little S, forming a circle of best friends.

'Mr. Player' and 'Super Followers' Rumored to be Getting Cut
SET TV Responds

'Mr. Player,' hosted by Jacky Wu, KID, and KunDa, was reported by a magazine yesterday to be facing cancellation. Rumor has it that due to high production costs, the network is considering axing the show, with its timeslot to be taken over by '100% Entertainment.' Meanwhile, 'Super Followers' has just finished filming its final episode, and there are rumors that the show failed its transformation plans and may be canceled. If true, it would be surprising as Jacky Wu's three hosted programs may all end this year.

In response to the rumors, Jacky Wu said, "I haven't been informed. If I do, I’ll let you know right away. If it’s true, well, that’s not too bad." The production team for 'Mr. Player' responded: "It's all just rumors—nothing like that is happening. The show will go on."
