Fire Brigade Assists in Transporting Over 100kg Man to Hospital for Treatment

(Bintulu, 14th) A man weighing over 100 kilograms sought to go to the hospital due to illness, and firefighters took 4 hours to successfully transport him onto a truck for hospital treatment.

The incident occurred at Rh Panjang Tuai Rumah Norma, Jalan Samarakan, Bintulu. Upon receiving a request for help from Bintulu Hospital, the Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department immediately dispatched multiple units to the scene. The incident occurred at 10:30 AM today, and the fire department immediately dispatched several vehicles, including a Scania fire truck, an emergency medical rescue service vehicle, a 3-ton Isuzu truck, and a Toyota 4WD vehicle to the scene for an emergency rescue operation.

The rescue team arrived on the scene at 11:35 AM and immediately started the operation. Upon arrival, firefighters found the 40-year-old man, Patan Anak Kadam, resting in bed. Due to the man's excessive weight, several firefighters carefully lifted him using a canvas and then transferred him into the 3-ton truck. The man was eventually successfully transported to Bintulu Hospital, where medical personnel continued the treatment. Additionally, two medical personnel from the hospital assisted throughout the transportation process, ensuring the patient's safety.

This special rescue operation showcased the professionalism and perseverance of firefighters in emergency situations and drew society's attention to the need for emergency rescue under special circumstances.
