An unusual 'shooting incident' occurred in Pennsylvania, USA on the 11th. A man was suddenly shot in the back by a shotgun at home and was rushed to the hospital. The culprit behind the accidental discharge turned out to be the family’s pet dog. Fortunately, the man’s life was not in danger, and after undergoing surgery he is gradually recovering.

Pet Dog’s Jump Causes Accidental Discharge

Citing sources, the New York Post reported that around 11 p.m. on Tuesday night, a 53-year-old man was cleaning his gun at his home in Shenandoah City. After placing the gun on the bed, the pet dog thought he was signaling it to jump onto the bed, and the resulting movement caused the shotgun to discharge, hitting the man’s back.

The man’s son immediately called the police after hearing the noise. The man was not seriously hurt after being taken to hospital. Police have classified the case as an accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
