Lions Club Collaborates with Seria and Miri Sister Clubs to Launch Hunger Humanitarian Aid Project

(Seria, 8th) The Kuala Belait Lions Club recently, under the witness of International Lions Club District 308-A2 Governor Dato Lee Siew Ping, joined other Lions Clubs in organizing multiple charity activities, actively bringing warmth and care to the community. 
During the event, the Kuala Belait Lions Club and the Miri Limbang Lions Club jointly launched the “Hunger Humanitarian Aid Project”, visiting Kampong Lambayau and Mendalan Longhouse in Nawai to provide daily necessities to three impoverished families. The project was organized by former president of the Kuala Belait Lions Club, Daniel Wong. 
Subsequently, members of the Kuala Belait Lions Club, together with Seria Lions Club members, visited Pawsup Animal Shelter in Sungai Liang, donating rice and dog food to the staff to help care for the animals there. The project was hosted by Region 12 Chairperson Phyllis Jong. 
In addition, the event also included an environmental initiative. Members of the Kuala Belait, Seria, and Miri Limbang Lions Clubs jointly visited Chung Hua Middle School in Kuala Belait, donating four recycling bins to the school with the aim of educating students on waste sorting and raising environmental awareness. This project was organized by Lions Club member Carol Lee. 
Guests attending the event included Dato Lee Siew Ping and Region 4 Chairperson Allen Diong. Members from the Kuala Belait Lions Club included President Chong Fook Chai, Second Vice President Alvin Cheong, District GST Coordinator Chong Zeng Qin, and Region 12 Chairperson Phyllis Jong; members from the Miri Limbang Lions Club included President Jennifer Kong and Region 11 Chairperson Sally Liew; members from the Seria Lions Club included President Rasel Miah, among others. 
Through this event, the three sister clubs demonstrated a spirit of selfless dedication, brought a positive impact to Belait and surrounding communities, and promoted the development of charitable causes.
