Bruneian Calligraphy Wins International Awards – Art Union Members Shine in Cloud Exhibition

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 4th) – Good news has recently come from Brunei’s calligraphy art community, as several members of the Brunei Chinese Literature and Arts Association have performed outstandingly in an international art exhibition, winning notable awards.
It is understood that four local calligraphy enthusiasts—Huang Bingxian, Luo Guohua, Xing Xiuzhu, and Huang Daoyan—recently participated in the “Descendants of the Dragon – 7th Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Overseas Hundred Art Troupes Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor Tribute Culture & Art Cloud Exhibition”. Standing out among numerous submissions, they successfully won awards, bringing honor to Brunei’s arts scene.
This cloud exhibition gathered multiple art groups from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and overseas, aiming to promote traditional Chinese culture and foster exchanges in calligraphy and painting. The Bruneian participants impressed the judges with their profound calligraphy skills and unique artistic expressions, showcasing the achievements of local art development.
The organizers pointed out that such international platforms not only promote cultural exchange but also provide a stage for overseas Chinese artists to showcase their talents. The excellent performance of Brunei’s calligraphy enthusiasts further enhances the visibility of local art groups on the international stage.
