The 'Global Solidarity Fleet' (GSF) stated that despite being intercepted by the Israeli navy, dozens of its vessels were still 'sailing strong' toward the war-torn Palestinian territory on the 2nd.

The fleet indicated that as of the early hours of the 2nd, most of its ships were still sailing on, having been disrupted but now nearing the Gaza coast.

At 3:20 a.m. local Gaza time, the fleet posted on social media platform X: 'Despite ongoing attacks from the Israeli navy, there are still 30 vessels powering forward with 46 nautical miles left to Gaza.'

The fleet spokesperson, Abukeshek, also stated on social media that the Israeli military had intercepted 13 ships carrying a total of around 200 people, including many from Spain and Italy.

In a video posted on Instagram, he said: 'Our mission continues.'

On the evening of the 1st, the Israeli navy intercepted and boarded several vessels in the Mediterranean Sea that were attempting to break through Israel's maritime blockade of Gaza.
