US Navy 'Bush' Aircraft Carrier Approaches Middle East; Trump Says 'Time Is Ticking'

The US Central Command posted on social media on the 23rd, accompanied by a photo, noting that the "Nimitz"-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS "Bush" was sailing in the Indian Ocean waters under the command's area of responsibility on that day.

The jurisdiction of the US Central Command covers the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Gulf of Oman, as well as the Arabian Sea in the northwestern Indian Ocean.

The "Bush" carrier strike group departed from the US East Coast’s Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia on March 31, rounded Africa’s Cape of Good Hope, and headed to the Middle East. According to the US "Army Times" website, the "Bush" carrier strike group includes several destroyers, with a total of more than 5,000 officers and sailors.

Currently, the US Navy's "Lincoln" and "Ford" carrier strike groups are deployed in the Red Sea and the northern Arabian Sea, respectively.

Media reports in the US say that the "Bush" is likely to replace the "Ford." During the handover period, the US military is expected to have a deployment posture in the Middle East featuring the "Bush," "Ford," and "Lincoln" carrier groups.

Additionally, US President Trump made a social media post on the same day, once again denying any rush to end the conflict with Iran, and said he has plenty of time, "but Iran does not—time is ticking!"
