Malaysia's film and entertainment production company Multimedia Entertainment held its 2024 annual celebration and Chinese New Year dinner on Friday night. The event gathered over a thousand directors, artists, production teams, media, and partners, creating a lively atmosphere.
Distinguished guests at the scene included Malaysia's Minister of Defense Dato' Sri Mohamad Khaled Nordin, Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Dato' Sri Shamsul Anuar Dr., as well as representatives from the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), Fire and Rescue Department, Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), VAT 69 Commando, and the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), along with partners and companies.
'Takluk: Lahad Datu' has grossed a box office revenue of 26 million MYR since its release on August 22 last year. The film also donated 50,000 MYR to the VAT 69 Commando Club to show deep respect for its partners.
The dinner especially honored the film 'Takluk: Lahad Datu', inspired by the real event of the Lahad Datu incident, co-produced by Multimedia Entertainment, Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), GSC, Astro, and Six Fun Media. Since its release on August 22, 2024, the film has grossed a box office revenue of 26 million MYR.
Another highlight of the evening was the official announcement of the sequel film 'Takluk 2.0: Ops Daulat'. The new movie will delve deeper into the themes of heroism, resilience, and national pride, bringing exciting stories and breathtaking action scenes.
Renowned producer Deng Zhizhang (fourth from right) led a group of singers to perform a medley, igniting the scene.
It was also announced that the 4th 'Golden Years Parents Day Concert 4.0' would be held in May at the Genting Cloudy Sky Theater. This special performance pays tribute to parents through nostalgic golden hits, bringing warm and touching moments of gratitude. Since its debut in 2022, the concert has become an important event for promoting family cohesion and showcasing local music creation.
