Zili Pavilion Celebrates 42nd Anniversary Tony Pui: Moral Education Advocates Cultivating Virtues and Doing Good

(Miri, 6th) Miri Moral Uplifting Society chairman Tony Pui said that the Moral Uplifting Society is not just a religious organization, but focuses on cultivating virtues and doing good, emphasizing "virtue" as the core of all good deeds, encompassing words and deeds.

He pointed out that the aims of moral education include preaching, spiritual guidance, and charity. Members of the society must have an in-depth understanding of the history and culture of moral education to achieve better development in various fields and promote the widespread dissemination of moral education.

Serving as the vice treasurer of the World Moral Uplifting Association and the deputy chairman of the East Malaysia Moral Uplifting Federation, chairman Tony Pui, during the "Night of Moral Education" banquet celebrating the 42nd anniversary of the Miri Moral Uplifting Society last night, reflected on the past 42 years of the Zili Pavilion. He stated that after weathering storms, the Zili Pavilion has always adhered to its founding philosophy, actively carrying out cultural and religious activities such as incense offering ceremonies on the 1st and 15th of the month, the Ghost Festival in the 7th lunar month, moral speech contests, seminars, etc. At the same time, the Zili Pavilion actively participates in social welfare activities, such as festive donations, visits to elderly homes, blood donations, donation of relief supplies, poverty alleviation, and other activities, spreading the positive energy of moral education.

Chairman Tony Pui especially expressed gratitude for the hard work of all the past committees, youth teams, women’s groups, and spiritual guidance groups, as well as the support from people from all walks of life. He especially thanked the distinguished guests, Sarawak Minister of Transport Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, Deputy Minister Dato Sebastian Ting, Miri Mayor Adam Yii, and other leaders for their support and encouragement.

At the celebration, chairman Tony Pui also announced donations from four representatives: Minister Lee Kim Shin allocated RM20,000, Deputy Minister Sebastian Ting allocated RM10,000, State Assemblyman Adam Yii allocated RM10,000, and State Assemblyman Dennis Ngau allocated RM10,000 to support the anniversary celebration of the Zili Pavilion.

Chairman Tony Pui stated that the Zili Pavilion will continue, with full enthusiasm and firm belief, to carry on the spirit of striving for virtues set by the forebears, meeting future challenges and achieving better results. Finally, he wished everyone a prosperous and healthy new year.
