《Astro Classic Songs Singing Competition 2025》 Penang Auditions and Mini Concert Successfully Held

Malaysia's longest-running and highest-rated singing competition show, the 《Astro Classic Songs Singing Competition 2025》, proudly enters its 25th anniversary! Continuing the spirit of 'Dream Stage,' the show provides an opportunity for Malaysians who love singing to showcase their talents. This year's competition is bigger than ever, reaching out to communities with national audition activities. The first event was successfully held last weekend (April 26th and 27th) in George Town, including a mini concert and audition activities. The atmosphere was lively, and the audition activity attracted nearly 50 singing enthusiasts to participate enthusiastically.

At the mini concert on Saturday night, past champions Lu Yanping (2024 Senior Group Champion), Zeng Guohui (2023 Junior Group Champion), Zheng Zongxian (2021 Champion), and Wu Weilin (2015 Champion) opened with a splendid performance of 'Mei Fei Se Wu,' followed by each performing their classic winning pieces. Additionally, classic singers Bai Lin, Wu Jianyi, Tang Tang, and Pan Shuyu also took to the stage, bringing several well-known classic hits to the audience, creating a lively scene.

The auditions held on Sunday were equally lively, with nearly 50 singing enthusiasts showcasing their vocal talents on site. The three judges for the day included Guo Yanyan, Zheng Guoliang, and Zheng Zongxian. Guo Yanyan emotionally stated, 'The Classic Songs Singing Competition is not just a singing competition, but also carries the dreams and memories of countless people. Coming here is a process of challenging oneself, improving skills, and realizing dreams. We have witnessed the transformation and success of many people, which is also the greatest significance of the show.'

From contestant to judge, Zheng Zongxian also joked, 'Being a judge now is really enjoyable! I used to be critiqued on stage, and now I can stand on the other side and see the contestants as if I were seeing myself back then. It's a precious journey and memory. I feel very honored to be a judge alongside Teacher Guo Yanyan and Teacher Zheng Guoliang this time.'
