The Chinese game company Game Science, which previously developed 'Black Myth: Wukong,' has announced a new title: 'Black Myth: Zhong Kui.'
According to Securities Times Network, in the early hours of the 20th at the Opening Night Live of Gamescom, Game Science officially unveiled 'Black Myth: Zhong Kui' with a CG teaser trailer.
According to Game Science's official website, 'Black Myth: Zhong Kui' is the second installment in the Black Myth series. As a standard single-player action role-playing game, its commercial model will be the same as that of 'Black Myth: Wukong.'
Currently, the new title has officially entered development, but there is no gameplay demonstration available yet.
Zhong Kui is a deity in Chinese mythology, known for capturing ghosts and exorcising evil spirits. The legend of 'Zhong Kui Captures Ghosts' has been passed down in Chinese folklore since ancient times.
'Black Myth: Wukong' is China's first domestically produced AAA (meaning a game developed with significant financial investment, resources, and time) blockbuster game. It is based on the Chinese classic novel 'Journey to the West,' and after its release last August, it became a hit worldwide, selling over 10 million copies in just three days, inspiring confidence among Chinese game developers to expand into overseas markets.
