(Bandar Seri Begawan, 17th) With the approval of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei, the fundraising period for the 2023 Gaza Palestine Humanitarian Fund will be extended by 6 months, from April 19, 2025, to October 18, 2025, allowing the public to continue donating to help alleviate the plight of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
This extension plan includes the following fundraising platforms:
1, Donations through the SMS Brunei Prihatin charity via Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST Sdn Bhd), Progresif Sdn Bhd, and Imagine Sdn Bhd.
2, In collaboration with the Banking Association, donation boxes will be set up in mosques, prayer rooms, religious sites, public buildings, shopping malls, and bank buildings nationwide;
3, Organizing charity events to raise funds.
As of April 17, 2025, the total amount raised by this fund is $5,819,588.42.
From March 13 to 15, 2024, a total of $1,399,545 was used for humanitarian aid, delivering ready-to-eat meal packages to Palestine by air drop. Therefore, as of April 17, 2025, the fund balance is $4,420,043.42.
