(Miri, 3rd) Sarawak Oil Palms ( SOP) yesterday held the '2025 SOP Social Hiking Event ' at Niah National Park, attracting more than 200 enthusiastic participants from various departments across Sarawak, many of whom brought family members along.
The weather was sunny and pleasantly cool, making it an ideal opportunity to get close to nature. After arriving at the event site early in the morning, the participants set off in groups for a hiking journey along the guided route, trekking through the lush tropical rainforest and experiencing the refreshing and awe-inspiring natural surroundings firsthand. The entire hiking event not only tested physical fitness but also emphasized team spirit and mutual support.
This social hiking event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and serves as an important platform to strengthen connections among employees from different departments and regions. Through outdoor activities, employees were able to relieve work-related stress, deepen friendships, and enhance cohesion.
Sarawak Oil Palms Senior Public Relations Manager, Agnes Nyelang, said the company was delighted to see employees from various regions actively participating in this healthy initiative.
