(Dudong, 25th) Dudong Chinese School held its “2026 Academic Week Closing Ceremony” on July 25th, gathering board members, PTA representatives, and the entire faculty and student body in the hall to officially mark the conclusion of Academic Week.
The school’s First Vice Chairman of the Board Zhang Chengji, Secretary-General Huang Linming, and other board members, as well as the PTA chairman attended the event, joining teachers and students to witness the achievements of Academic Week.
The event officially began at 8 am. After the national anthem and school song were sung, Rosman recited the “Opening Chapter,” kicking off the ceremony.
Next, Principal Yan Ye delivered a welcoming speech, encouraging students to maintain a positive attitude towards learning and to cultivate good study habits. The school’s First Vice Chairman of the Board, Zhang Chengji, was also invited to give a speech, encouraging students to be courageous in their quest for knowledge and to relentlessly pursue excellence.
The ceremony featured a rich and colorful program. First, teachers presented an “Eco-themed Fashion Show,” showcasing outfits made from recycled materials to promote environmental awareness.
The kindergarten students then performed "Jungle Dance Song," "If You're Happy and You Know It," and "La Bamba Dance," displaying their innocence and liveliness.
In addition, various extracurricular clubs presented wonderful performances, including the English Club’s English story "The Little Seed," the Malay Literature Club’s eco-themed pantun, the Chinese Literature Club’s traditional fan dance "Left Hand Pointing at the Moon," the Dance Club’s hand dance "A Light of Hope," and the STEAM Club’s "Bottle RC Airplane" project display, fully demonstrating students' diverse learning achievements.
The event also included the Academic Week competition award ceremony, with prizes awarded for kindergarten, lower, and upper grade groups, as well as the student and teacher categories for the eco-themed fashion competition (Champion, First Runner-up, Second Runner-up, and Consolation Prizes), to commend the outstanding performers among both students and faculty.
