In Taiwan, a citizen witnessed a chubby man dressed in a kasaya, resembling a monk, sitting on a bench and passionately kissing a woman at Taipei Children's Amusement Park. The incident was filmed and posted online, sparking heated discussions. Some netizens joked, "In the process of enlightenment, please do not disturb," while others sarcastically commented, "My eyes have incurred heavy karmic retribution." In response, the Shilin precinct of the Taipei City Police, which has jurisdiction over the area, stated they had not received any complaints regarding public indecency.
According to a report by Liberty Times on the 29th, a netizen posted in the "Gossiping Community 2" group, stating, "Took my daughter out to sweat a lot, only to see a master so calm and cool, seemingly unbothered by the heat—such composure!"
In the video uploaded by the netizen, a rotund man with a monk’s shaved head and dressed in a yellow kasaya is seen sitting squarely on a bench. A woman is straddling the monk and constantly rubbing against him as the pair kiss passionately for over ten seconds, both appearing relaxed and unbothered by their surroundings.
The video quickly garnered a flood of online comments: “Chanting scriptures with his mouth as standard,” “In the process of enlightenment, please do not disturb,” “Maybe he’s just cosplaying after work,” “Form is emptiness,” “My eyes have incurred heavy karmic retribution.”
Some netizens also pointed out: “This couple has appeared in Xinyi District as well, it’s the same people, nothing to worry about,” suggesting that this pair of so-called "boundary-crossing lovers" have behaved similarly in public spaces before.
