National Service 3.0 Divided into 3 Phases in 2 Camps in Volunteer Form

The National Service Plan 3.0, restarted after seven years, will be conducted in a voluntary manner this year, divided into three series at two different camps.

The Ministry of Defense issued a press release today stating that the first series of the 2025 National Service Plan officially kicked off today at the 515 Reserve Army Camp in Kuala Lumpur and will run until February 25th for a period of 45 days.

The second series of the 2025 National Service 3.0 will run from May 11th to June 24th, and the third series will run from September 7th to October 21st, conducted respectively at the 515 Reserve Army Camp and the 505 Reserve Army Camp in Pekan, Pahang.

The press release pointed out that the first series will include 120 volunteer trainees, consisting of 80 males and 40 females, aged between 18 and 25, including 13 who registered in person. These trainees come from diverse backgrounds in terms of ethnicity, religion, education, and region.

According to the press release, PLKN 3.0 will adopt a training model comprising 70% basic military training and 30% national awareness training. This will allow trainees to acquire basic military skills, knowledge of national security policies, basic knowledge of Malaysian citizens' welfare, and leadership skills.

The Ministry of Defense stated that the national awareness course will provide trainees with elements of identity, patriotism, and strengthened unity.

The press release stated that PLKN 3.0 is a platform for nurturing a new generation infused with patriotism and high moral values, consistently promoting the spirit of unity and instilling volunteerism.

PLKN 3.0 aims to achieve five major goals, namely to enhance the patriotism of the younger generation; to cultivate and unite youths of all races and national ethos, develop good character, and practice noble values; to instill and nurture the spirit of volunteerism, and to foster a healthy, intelligent, and confident young generation.
