A speedboat named 'Dolphin 2' was hit by large waves on the 5th while traveling from Indonesia’s Penida Port to Bali’s Sanur Port and capsized near Sanur Port, resulting in the deaths of 2 Chinese citizens and 1 Indonesian citizen missing. The other 77 people on board were rescued.

There were 80 people on board at the time, including 73 foreign tourists, 2 local tourists, and 5 crew members.

The Chinese Consulate General in Denpasar stated that, according to preliminary statistics, there were 8 Chinese citizens on board, 2 of whom died, 3 were injured and sent to the hospital, and the remaining 3 sustained minor injuries.

Currently, Indonesia is in its school holiday and tourism peak season, with frequent movement of people and transportation. Coupled with complex conditions for some water and land transport, the risk of traffic accidents has increased.

On July 3rd, the 'Tunu Pratama Jaya' ferry, carrying 53 passengers and 12 crew members, sank in the Bali Strait while traveling from Ketapang Port in East Java Province to Gilimanuk Port in Bali, resulting in 19 deaths and 16 missing.
