Chinese Embassy: No Chinese Citizens Involved Yet in Indonesian Ferry Sinking Accident

(Indonesia, 3rd) The Chinese Embassy in Indonesia has reported that, regarding the Indonesian ferry sinking accident in the Bali Strait, no Chinese citizens have been involved so far.
On Thursday (July 3rd), China Central Television quoted information from the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, stating that, as of now, there have been no reports of Chinese citizens involved in the Indonesian passenger ferry sinking accident.
The aforementioned ferry sank near the famous tourist destination Bali at around 11:20 p.m. local time on Wednesday (2nd).
Agence France-Presse cited a statement from the Surabaya Search and Rescue Agency issued on Thursday: "According to the passenger data, the ferry had a total passenger capacity of 53, as well as 12 crew members... The ferry was also carrying 22 vehicles, including 14 trucks." The agency later issued a statement saying that four people were rescued in the early hours of Thursday.
According to Reuters, local TV station MetroTV quoted the Indonesian Search and Rescue Agency as saying that a ferry carrying 65 people sank in waters near Bali, with four people confirmed dead, 38 missing, and 23 rescued. The agency said in another statement on Thursday that the ferry sank about half an hour after departing from Ketapang Port in East Java late Wednesday night.
