Brunei Police Sign Motorcycle Contract to Enhance Operations and Increase Police Vehicles

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 4th) In a continued effort to strengthen the operational capacity of law enforcement units and enhance the assets of police transportation, the Royal Brunei Police Force (PPDB) recently officially signed a five-year contract for the supply and leasing of motorcycles.
The signing ceremony was held at the banquet hall of the Gadong Police Headquarters, attended by two automotive companies, QAF Auto Sdn Bhd and BTOP Motor Sdn Bhd, representing the government in signing the contract.
The guest of honour was Acting Permanent Secretary for Security and Law at the Prime Minister's Office, Zuhusan, along with Royal Brunei Police Force Commissioner Sulaiman.
Also present to witness the signing were Deputy Commissioner Saifullah, several senior police officers, representatives from government agencies, and company representatives.
During the ceremony, the Royal Brunei Police Force officially signed agreements with both companies. QAF Auto Sdn Bhd was represented by its director Lau Loke Kwan and senior manager Mary Loh Siew Chin; BTOP Motor Sdn Bhd was represented by its director Lim Kian Seng and general manager Violet Lim Wan Boon. The two companies will provide a total of 235 motorcycles for the daily operations of the police force.
This vehicle supply and leasing agreement is part of the Fiscal Consolidation Programme (FCP), jointly promoted by the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Finance and Economy. It aims to improve government spending efficiency, strengthen national fiscal outcomes, and optimize the economic structure through enhanced cooperation between the government and the private sector.
This vehicle supply initiative is also an important measure for the Royal Brunei Police Force to further enhance operational capacity, helping improve public service efficiency and shorten response times for the public.
