(Kuching, 1st) Sarawak continues to strengthen its role as a state that emphasizes moral values and community harmony, striving to achieve its 2030 development vision.
Sarawak's Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian stated that these values are derived from moral teachings that arrived from China over 100 years ago, now forming an important foundation for a balanced and inclusive community.
“In a short time, more than 300 peace-oriented institutions have been established around the world, and Sarawak is fortunate to benefit from these advantages.”
He said this while speaking to the media after attending the launching ceremony of Ji Xing Shan She An Lu Li Ding in Kuching.
As the Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government, he also emphasized that applying universal moral values can reduce conflicts, chaos, and political differences on a global level.
“Sarawak has set an example in maintaining unity, with participation from all communities in each event, reflecting an extraordinary spirit of unity. We need this spirit to continue moving towards 2030.”
Additionally, he pointed out that the state’s development should not be solely centered on material wealth but should be based on solid humanistic values.
Meanwhile, he expressed gratitude to all parties involved in promoting moral development in Sarawak, Malaysia, and China, especially with the organization opening its 27th new branch in the state, symbolizing a commitment to peace and shared prosperity.
