(Miri, 6th) Eighty years of nurturing and passing the torch—Miri Chung Hua Public School will grandly host a large-scale cultural gala, "BGC Shines at 80," on the evening of the 8th of this month (Saturday) at the Miri Indoor Stadium, offering the sincerest wishes for its glorious educational journey.
It is learned that "BGC Shines at 80" is a unique celebration, with the program presented entirely in the form of an original stage play. Apart from the opening ceremony, there will be no emcee throughout; instead, the event blends music, dance, and drama to vividly recreate the school’s 80-year educational history and the legacy of its spirit. The storyline is smooth and touching, closely following "the stories of BGC people," leading the audience on a journey through time to revisit different eras of campus memories and struggles.
On the evening, all teachers, students, parents, and board members will perform together on stage. The program includes children's dances, choir performances, joint acts by teachers and students, and parent performances, fully showcasing the artistic talents of BGC’s community and their deep affection for their alma mater. The entire gala is not only an audiovisual feast but also a journey of gratitude across generations.
The organizing committee stated that every participant has devoted themselves to rehearsals with utmost enthusiasm and hopes to present the perfect performance as a gift to their alma mater’s 80th anniversary. Only RM30 tickets remain, with limited availability, so those interested are urged to act quickly. Tickets can also be purchased at the venue—members of the public are invited to witness this historic moment together.
The school sincerely invites the general public, alumni of all years, and parents to attend enthusiastically, to jointly witness BGC’s eighty years of brilliance and legacy, and to move forward hand in hand towards an even brighter future.
"BGC Shines at 80" will take place on November 8 (Saturday) at the Miri Indoor Stadium. To purchase tickets, the public may contact Teacher Zhang (011-33003515) or inquire with any staff member of Miri Chung Hua Public School.
