On the 22nd, U.S. President Trump stated on social media that all parties are fully aware that Iran will agree to accept large-scale weapons inspections to ensure its long-term commitment to nuclear integrity in the future.

Earlier that day, U.S. Vice President Vance also pointed out at a press conference that significant progress has been made in U.S.-Iran negotiations, laying a very solid foundation for reaching a final agreement, and that Iran has agreed to invite inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency to return to Iran.

He said this is an important milestone for the United States, and is the first step toward Iran's permanent denuclearization or the permanent termination of its nuclear weapons program.

In any case, on the 22nd, Iran's news agency quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei as saying that Iran's cooperation and interaction with the International Atomic Energy Agency will continue in accordance with existing mechanisms, and will follow relevant laws of the Iranian parliament as well as decisions made by the Supreme National Security Council.

The report also quoted sources as saying that during about 18 hours of negotiations between Iran and the U.S. in Switzerland, the Iranian side did not negotiate on nuclear issues nor made any new related commitments.
