(Miri, 28th) The Miri City Council announced that, according to Article 3(c) of the Road Transport (Provision of Parking Places) (Miri City Council) (Amendment) Order, 2012, from May 2, 2025, the Marina Fish Market area (Lot 2248, Block 9, MCLD) will officially implement a parking management and fee system.
Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang pointed out in a press conference after the monthly council meeting that because parking spaces for fish market customers are often occupied by office workers nearby, causing difficulty for citizens visiting the fish market, it is necessary to implement a parking fee management system.

The area has a total of 79 Blue Zone (Code: B/2M - Fish Market Marina) parking spaces. The public can pay parking fees through the smart parking app or by purchasing parking coupons. Those who park illegally will be penalized by enforcement authorities and fined.
The City Council urges citizens to cooperate with the new measures to enhance traffic flow and public service quality.
