(Seria, 22nd) Acting Chairman of the Board of Wen Chung, Lin Wenhua, stated that today, we are gathered here to hold a grand and warm graduation ceremony for the 66th cohort of high school graduates and the 65th cohort of elementary graduates of Wen Chung. First of all, on behalf of the Board, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all graduates who have successfully completed their studies at various stages! I’d also like to express my deepest gratitude to all dedicated faculty and staff, as well as to the parents who have contributed silently!
He said that, looking back on these wonderful years, students have left a solid mark on the road to acquiring knowledge. You have absorbed knowledge in the classroom, honed your abilities through activities, and demonstrated outstanding exploratory spirit in cutting-edge courses such as artificial intelligence. We deeply realize that in the digital era, mastering artificial intelligence technology is a key ability for young people to embrace the future. Therefore, the Board has been actively planning and investing resources to systematically promote the implementation of AI education in the school.
He said that this year, Wen Chung actively promoted technological education innovation by leading students to Guangxi, China to observe youth artificial intelligence and robotics competitions, experience projects such as robot programming and AI creative design; our teachers also visited schools in Nanjing for exchanges, deeply involving themselves in classroom learning to discover how to utilize AI technology to achieve effective interaction and personalized learning.
At the same time, he pointed out that by organizing teachers to participate in professional training both online and offline, teachers' digital literacy has been enhanced. For instance, they participated in the “New Era Chinese Teacher AI Basic and Advanced Workshop” hosted by the China Chinese Education Foundation, as well as workshops held by the Henan Overseas Friendship Association’s famous teacher tour group at Wen Chung, which have all substantially improved teachers' teaching abilities in the field of AI education. We are pleased to see that the establishment of AI courses has already begun to yield results, with students’ interest in learning and their inquiry capabilities being significantly enhanced.
"In the future, the Board will continue to support the school in improving the AI curriculum system, exploring cooperation with more higher education institutions or technology entities, introducing high-quality resources, and striving to create a more cutting-edge and broader innovation platform for students."
He also announced at the ceremony that the school has basically obtained government approval for a plot of land to be allocated to Wen Chung for the construction of a new campus, covering an area of about 8 acres, located beside Katok Avenue. He believes that the new Board will begin planning for the new campus next year. The construction period is expected to last about 3 to 5 years! If elementary students continue their studies at Wen Chung after graduation, they should have the opportunity to witness the completion of the new campus.
He firmly believes that students graduating from Wen Chung will grow to become future pillars of society with both scientific literacy and innovative spirit, contributing wisdom and strength to social development. At this glorious moment, let us be grateful and extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has accompanied you along the way—thanks to teachers for their attentive teaching and selfless cultivation, to parents for their silent dedication and steadfast support, and to classmates for their sincere companionship and precious friendships.
He said that youth should not be wasted, and dreams point the way forward. Students, graduation is a milestone in your academic journey, but it is by no means the end. In this era of rapid technological change, only by maintaining a strong thirst for knowledge and continuous learning can you keep pace with the times and constantly improve yourself. May you always remember the vow "Do not waste your youth, and never cease to dream," and, carrying the knowledge, skills, and strength of character gained at your alma mater, bravely pursue the vast sea of stars in your hearts.
Here, he sincerely hopes that elementary graduates will return to Wen Chung next year for further studies, continuing to write the chapter of youth at their alma mater and sail further in the vast ocean of knowledge!
