(Kuala Lumpur, 10th) — Former Prime Minister Tun Mahathir celebrates his 101st birthday!
July 10th marks Tun Mahathir's birthday, and this prominent figure in Malaysian politics celebrates his 101st birthday.
Earlier this year, Tun Mahathir suffered a hip fracture after accidentally falling at his home. As he is already a centenarian, the medical team did not recommend surgery and mainly adopted non-surgical care and physical therapy. His recovery has been progressing well.
According to a video posted on Tun Mahathir’s social media page, he visited Langkawi on July 5th, enjoyed coffee at a local café, and was warmly welcomed by the public, who eagerly requested to take photos with the former prime minister.
Additionally, the “Public Health Malaysia” Facebook page also congratulated Tun Mahathir on his 101st birthday.
The post read, “Over a hundred years old, a long journey. A name forever engraved in the nation’s history.”
“At the age of 101, Tun has not only witnessed Malaysia’s changes over the eras, but was also a central force in shaping significant chapters of the country’s development.”
