(Sibu, 18th) In conjunction with the upcoming celebration of Yuanshi Tianzun’s birthday on June 21st (the second day of the eleventh lunar month, Sunday), Teng Yun Temple will hold a series of ceremonies.
On the evening of June 20th (the first day of the eleventh lunar month, Saturday) at 11 pm, the temple will solemnly invite divine deities to descend, leading the board members and devotees in sincerely welcoming the Jade Emperor, the Three Officials, and Five Emperors, and conducting a grand worship ritual in celebration of Yuanshi Tianzun’s birthday.
The temple’s chairman and all directors, members, advisors, altar masters, ritual masters, and local devotees will all actively participate to share in the blessings of the deities.
Furthermore, on June 21st (the second day of the eleventh lunar month, Sunday), there will be a ceremony inviting the Xuantian Shangdi to descend and lead disciples in paying birthday tributes to Yuanshi Tianzun, alongside conducting the Xuantian Shangdi’s petition-to-heaven ritual. This coincides with the Winter Solstice Festival. At 10:30 am that day, a memorial ceremony for the temple’s ancestors will be held at the temple’s Dao De Hall.
At 5 pm, the temple will conduct a worship ceremony to reward the Five Armies’ Generals, and make offerings to the invisible beings (Good Brothers–Lao Da Gong).
At 7 pm, the deities will be respectfully sent off, with the board and devotees present, to conduct the sending off ceremony for the Jade Emperor and the Three Officials and Five Emperors, marking a solemn and fulfilling end to the festivities.
