The Iranian Persian Gulf Strait Administration issued a notice on the 19th stating that, according to the Iran-US memorandum of understanding and the directives of relevant authorities, ships that submit navigation applications within the stipulated period as required will be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
The notice pointed out that within the time frame specified by the memorandum of understanding, ships that submit navigation applications to the Persian Gulf Strait Administration as required will have their navigation arrangements processed promptly.
The notice said that the relevant requirements include: applications must be submitted at least 48 hours before entering the strait area; applications must be submitted via the administration’s website or email; route and sailing time period coordination must be carried out in advance according to the announced time, etc.
The notice pointed out that within a 60-day period, no fees will be charged to ships.
