The China Manned Space Engineering Office announced on the 14th that the Shenzhou-20 astronaut crew will return to the Dongfeng Landing Site on the same day aboard the Shenzhou-21 spacecraft. Astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie of the Shenzhou-20 crew are currently in good condition. The landing site and participating systems are making intensive preparations to welcome them home.
The China Manned Space Engineering Office also stated that, according to planned arrangements, the Shenzhou-22 spacecraft will be launched at an appropriate time in the future. The Shenzhou-20 spacecraft was struck by space debris on the 4th, causing the originally scheduled return on the 5th to be postponed.
The Dongfeng Landing Site at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center issued a navigation ban notice on the 12th, stating that the restricted navigation control period would be from 4:20 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. on the 14th. According to international space mission conventions, such navigation ban notices are usually closely related to the return of spacecraft.
