(Sibu, 14th) Two businessmen donated air conditioners and electric fans to Sibu Hospital on Thursday, improving the environment and enhancing the comfort of patients and medical staff.
The 78-year-old baker Chuong Soui Chang donated six air conditioners and a circuit distribution box, received on behalf of the hospital by Sibu Hospital Deputy Director Dr Nizam Ishak. The ceremony was witnessed by Sibu Hospital Visiting Committee Chairman Michael Lee and several officials.
The total value of these donations exceeds RM 30,000.
Michael Lee expressed gratitude for the contribution, noting that more wards will now be able to install air conditioning equipment, providing a more comfortable environment for patients and healthcare staff. He also mentioned that the existing number of air conditioners in the hospital is still insufficient and hopes that with continued public support, the hospital can achieve full air conditioning in the future.
He called on more businesses and individuals to actively contribute.
On the same day, another businessman, Hii Hieng Tiew, also donated 12 electric fans, which were handed over to Dr Nizam by Datuk Wong Tiing Kiong for the hospital’s use.
