(Seria, 26th) The Seria New Village Mutual Aid Society, led by President Yang Zhao Ming this morning, held a Qingming public memorial ceremony, paying respects to forebears, honoring the virtues of ancestors, and promoting traditional Chinese culture.
The ceremony took place at the Kuala Belait Chinese Cemetery, the Chinese Public Cemetery, and the Tunku Hill Chinese Charitable Cemetery. Participants reverently prepared offerings and presented incense before the altar to express remembrance and respect for the forebears in a solemn atmosphere.
This Qingming public memorial not only reflects the traditional spirit of being grateful for one's origins and honoring the memory of ancestors, but also demonstrates the Chinese community's emphasis on passing down Chinese culture.
