(Brunei, 13th) Huaguang Charity Association, together with the Little Bottle King Volunteer Alliance of Kuala Lumpur, jointly organized a series of charity events from May 6th to 7th.
This was the association’s first joint event held in Malaysia, and they were delighted to collaborate alongside these young people. These are a group of expressive, very kind-hearted youths, with hearts of gold caring for disadvantaged communities.
The first stop was the indigenous people of Kg Sendat, Ulu Yam, where they distributed food, clothing, and stationery to 50 underprivileged families and 50 students. The second stop was in Rantau Community, where further aid was provided.
This event was sponsored and participated by Huaguang Charity Association Brunei, and jointly coordinated by the Lions Club Of Rantau and the Lions Club of Nilai Centennial, ensuring that aid materials successfully reached 50 families in need and 50 students. It is hoped that this aid will help reduce some of the life and study burdens of these families and students.
A buffet lunch was also organized on the day, fostering interaction and engagement with beneficiary families, bringing more warmth and care to the community.
The association also arranged a "Love Together" Parents’ Day charity dinner, co-hosted by the Little Bottle King Volunteer Alliance Malaysia and the Brunei Huaguang Charity Association, held at Restoran Fui Chuai.
This was not just a dinner, but also a warm companionship for seniors and social care. 11 tables were set up that night, inviting seniors from 8 nursing homes and vulnerable groups to gather and enjoy a reunion dinner of special significance.
Huaguang Charity Association expresses heartfelt thanks to the generous local philanthropists, especially the Lee family, the anonymous philanthropist WT, and the support from Natural Healing Enterprise Brunei.
The association also thanks Brandon Ooi, Wayson Lim, and other volunteer members from the Little Bottle King Alliance, for successfully and smoothly carrying out these two days of charity activities.
