(Bandar Seri Begawan, 20th) The Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) organized a stakeholder engagement seminar on the ecological food waste initiative for hotel managers, restaurant operators, cafes, and food catering companies. This event aims to encourage food suppliers to take a more active role in food waste recycling.
Yesterday, as part of the ecological food waste initiative, the event was held at the Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi) auditorium and aimed to promote environmentally friendly food waste management practices among selected food suppliers.

This is also an important starting point, demonstrating support and commitment to achieving the goals of the initiative and the government's desire for resilient and sustainable waste management.
The event featured a presentation by the bureau on the ecological food waste initiative, followed by a briefing by Biofield Solutions on recycling food waste into high-quality fertilizer.

As part of the program, the bureau distributed posters and stickers of the ecological food waste initiative to participating hotels, restaurants, cafes, and catering companies, symbolizing their commitment to environmentally friendly food waste management practices.
In cooperation with the management of One Riverside, the bureau also distributed reusable bags, posters, and stickers to restaurants and cafes within One Riverside to further raise public awareness of the program.
The Director of the Department of Environment, Parks, and Recreation, Martina, was invited to attend as the guest of honor at the event.
